DEEP BLOOM: Ephemeral mask-making as a meditation on Shadow and Light
A 2.5-hour immersive workshop to slow down, breathe deep, and explore the beauty and wisdom that blooms at the very edges of our beings.
Part outdoor workshop, part mini-retreat, this event blends botanical mask-making, movement, ritual, and Jungian shadow work as a celebration of the 10-year anniversary of the Shadow Tender Project.
Held at the Verdancy Project, 30 min outside of Portland OR.
May 31st, 1:00pm to 3:30pm + 1 optional hour for self-guided reflection and exploration.

What stories are contained within our bones on a cellular level?
How do we dream in the face of darkness?
How do we draw on the lessons of collapse to build beauty going forward?
Tales from Baba Yaga’s Post-Soviet Kingdom is an autobiographical exploration of the collapse of the USSR from the lens of contemporary fairytales and embodied inquiry.
Please join me for an evening of art, magic, and deep dives at the intersection of folklore and post-Soviet identity.

Shadow Tender February 2024 Workshop
A 2-day embodied exploration of the Shadow through movement, mask-making, and creative expression.

Dances from Baba Yaga’s Post Soviet Kingdom

Part feral catharsis, part dance party - this is a 1.5 hour structured women’s workshop where we will scream, cry, and dance our way back to power.
Open to all women, baba yagas, kikimoras, and interdimensional forest hags. Come of your own free will (this is important), but please leave your chicken-leg huts and mortars outside. For ages 18+.

Tending the Winter Garden: an evening music & guided meditation
(SOLD OUT) A gentle 1.5 hour offering of movement, breath, music, and connection for the Eastern European community and friends. Produced in collaboration with Glacial Milk Arts.

Kolyada Slavic Mask-Making Family Workshop for Ukrainian Refugees
(SOLD OUT) In this 2-hour bilingual workshop, we welcome the whole family to create your very own Kolyada masks. From goats, wolves, bunnies, Baba Yaga, and Leshii, we will tell you all about Kolyada traditions and help you create a new face for welcoming the Sun during the upcoming winter solstice celebrations.
